Papua (Indonesia) is home to one of the last remaining natural wildness, largely unexplored yet already threatened. French genecist Laurent Pouyaud and a team of fellow scientists from IRD set off into the depths of the jungle in search of new species.Rainbowfishare amongst thespecies most prized by tropical fish enthusiasts and museums all over the world. As a result of this popularity and the destruction of their natural habitats, they are now in serious danger of dying out.
