Everyone who’s owned the diamond has suffered great hardship, accidents or a violent death. Rumor has it it’s the diamond’s fault – it’s said to carry a curse! Just 50 years ago, it was offered to Smithsonian Museum, which displays the gem as the museum’s centerpiece, like the Mona Lisa at the Louvre.
