SYNOPSIS
Luc Long and his team of divers are exploring the wreck of an Etruscan boat and its cargo of hundreds of amphorae, resting at the bottom of the sea for over 2 500 years.
The Etruscans were a mysterious sea-faring people settled in Italy before the Roman Time and renowned for their commercial activity throughout the Mediterranean. No Etruscan ship had ever been found until early 1999. During a prospection near Giens in the Mediterranean sea, a robot from COMEX company locates an Etruscan wreck in 70 metres of water, which was apparently heading for the French coast. The site is intact and consists of a ship laden with hundreds of amphoras, at rest in the depths for more than 2.500 years.
