SYNOPSIS

Behind the scene of the Paris Picasso Museum

Picasso Museum opened its doors in 1985 revealing the most important collection of Picasso’s works of art to the world. More than 300 paintings, 1000 drawings, 100 sculptures given to the French State as inheritance rights. Housed in the beautiful Salé Hotel in the heart of the Marais in Paris, Picasso Museum has closed its doors in 2010 to underdake major modernisation and refurbishment works aimed at multiplying the exhibition surfaces by three.

For more than a year, this film will follow in the footsteps of Anne Baldassari, Head of the Museum and among worldwide’s experts of Picasso’ work, when she monitors the works’ progress of the new Museum that will reflect the new vision of the artist’s work of art, but also during the establishment of temporary exhibitions of the collection that she organises throughout the world during renovation (USA, Australia, Canada, China, Indonesia, Malaisia, Italy, Spain).

A companion documentary which recounts the re-opening of the Picasso Museum in Paris, the largest public collection of artist's work in the world. Come behind the scenes and witness all the preparations leading to the reopening of this Museum.
