THE TRUTH ABOUT THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR

‘Cursed, you will be cursed!’. That’s with Jaques de Molay’s famous sentence screamed at the stake in 1314 that our film begins - the starting point of what is to become the knights’ ‘curse’. Then the film inquires and tries to shed light on who these knights really were, both monks and soldiers, and how this Order endowed with so much power disappeared suddenly. The fascination the people have for this Order is still intact. The investigation can start again today thanks to recent discoveries made during excavations which took place on the Carreau du Temple in Paris and after the researches made at the National Archives, uncovering key archives on the Templar Order.
