BONOBOS GUARDIAN ANGEL

A unique primate nursery in the heart of the Gabonese jungle rescues young orphan Bonobos and teaches them how to survive. The Bonobos, closely related to Chimpanzees are generally known to resolve most of their conflicts through sexual activity. But what else do we know about them and their social structure? The war raging in Congo could be fatal to this disappearing community which we have not yet had time to study much. They have seeked refuge in the tropical forest of the Equator province, in the south-east of Kinshasa. Claudine André, a young Belgian woman touched by their plight, has created a unique primate nursery in the heart of the jungle, where she rescues young orphan Bonobos and teaches them how to survive.
