SYNOPSIS
The story of Albert Richter, one of Germany’s greatest bike racers between the two world wars whose fate was bound to his relationship with his Jewish trainer, Ernst Berliner. He died at the age of 26 executed by the Gestapo in 1940. A story of friendship, courage and loyalty that flourished against all odds in Nazi Germany at a time when the state capitalized on the popularity of all sports to further its propaganda. A profoundly human story which enlightens one of history’s most tragic periods.
