Among the new generation of creators of French Haute Couture, the youngest and most talented of them is certainly Julien Fournie, who through the four collections of his eponymous label, surprise and intrigue by distilling his highly personal interpretation of the high fashion, even taking down some codes.
After 3 years of medical studies, he entered the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne and emerges three years later and graduated with a bonus Fashion Award.
In 2009, after working for 10 years in other fashion houses like Givenchy, Claude Montana, Jean Paul Gaultier, then at Torrente as Artistic Director Couture Julien Fournie decides to take up the challenge and threw himself lost in pursuit of his dream at a time yet in crisis. He founded his own luxury brand that bears his name.
In July 2009, his first show reflects both valuable know-how and a relevant and visionary thinking on the garment and the status of women. With this first collection, the tone is set. Julien Fournie, Prodigal Son reflects his time: he wants to know how the mix of high fashion with the nonchalant worn today. He feels very strongly about the status of women which he said should not play on the record of strong women and shoulders marked with perfect forms, but claim their vulnerability, enhance their imperfections, to reveal their original beauty ...
He is currently preparing his fifth collection, "First Mutations" in his small studio-apartment near the Bourse Parisian charm.
Talent already crowned the Grand Prize for Creation of the City of Paris in 2010, Julien Fournie could be the French fashion of tomorrow.
